You may or may not have seen the hype around our brand new hybrid gel system, Syner Gel, and be wondering to your self, what is so special about this brand new product and what is a hybrid gel?
Lets start with what is a hybrid gel...
A hybrid gel nail product is a type of nail enhancement that blends the best properties of 2 different gel systems, such as rubber base, builder gel and hard gel. These type of systems are designed to offer ease of use, flexibility and strength.
Hybrid products can come in many forms, such as:
- Colour coats ( gel/ traditional varnish combinations)
- 2-in-1 base & strength gels.
- Flexible builder gels
- Acry Gel type products
What type of product is Syner Gel?
Syner Gel is a hybrid between rubber base and builder gel, in essence it allows the flexibility of a rubber base, which are known for their excellent adhesive properties, but gives the strength of a builder gel. 
At Nail Order we currently offer Flexi Gel as our rubber base type product, whilst this product offers excellent adhesion and flexibility, the nails can still be quite "bendy" when using this product, which doesn't suit all clients and isnt great for long natural nails. When using traditional rubber base products such as Flexi Gel, its important to keep in mind that they tend to have a thinner cure thickness than products such as builder gel, Flexi Gel has a max cure thickness of 0.3mm.
Similarly we offer AnGel builder gel, this product offers excellent strength and will support a longer natural nail, however, like all traditional builder gels, it does not offer the flexibility that some clients need. Builder gels traditionally have a greater cure thickness than rubber base type products, AnGel has a max cure thickness of 1mm, as a result builder gels are often applied a bit thicker and can appear bulky.
What type of clients will it suit?
Whilst we promote a prescriptive manicure approach, Syner Gel is that product that is the closest one that we have found to working for all client and nail types. We have trialled it on very long natural nails to very short problem natural nails with no free edge and everything in between and we have had excellent results. Syner Gel has a max cure thickness of 0.6mm meaning it sits directly between Flexi Gel and AnGel, giving it a sleeker appearance without sacrificing strength.
